NO SOUTHERN CAMEROONIAN WILL BE PRESIDENT OF CAMEROUN
<<<<REFLECTIONS>>>
"We" shall wake up one morning when the times are set to make declarations loud that 'Indeed we have been forcing to sing the Lord's song in a strange land'. Good governance can never manifest in an unequal and unbalanced political system. This is what we miss at this material moment. The French man seizes and plays over the weaknesses of his counterparts. As long as his counterparts remain naive, the French man will always cash-in to exploit. This mentality is proven in history. Cameroun suffers today because of such an attitude from France, Southern Cameroon suffers today because of same attitude from the son of France-Cameroun. The yam and knife lies with Cameroun and Southern Cameroon and not with France and Cameroun.
No youth of this generation should boast of doing politics today in a
guise that he wishes to serve his people. No you are not and you won't,
you are doing it for your ownself; your prestige and popularity. Your
parents before you said the same thing and became impotent once given
power. Just as your fathers before you, you will become corrupt and
shall practice the system. You might even be worst if you donot
watchout. What you need to do is to liberate the system from the bondage
of colonization, marginalization, hatred, victimization, sizeim,
ageism, into an arena of home rule. I therefore call on you youth who
nurses that ambition to rather turn to be a fighter, join others in the
Liberation Field, join this revolution and completely transmogrify this
occupied political system into a true system of leadership and
governance. A system where the good vision and principles you possess
now, shall not be corrupted and your voice shall always be heard and
opinions entertained. No Southern Cameroonian shall be President of
Cameroun under the pure theory of law as a positive law, but will always
be President of Cameroon as per the natural theory of law as a natural
law.

HOW TO ORGANIZE A SUCCESSFUL POLITICAL REVOLUTION AND GOVERNMENT OVERTHROW IN THE 21ST CENTURY BY: ASHU SHAMY
HOW
TO ORGANIZE A SUCCESSFUL POLITICAL REVOLUTION AND GOVERNMENT OVERTHROW IN THE
21ST CENTURY
Introduction
This piece of
work sets to demonstrate facts and procedures which must be taken into consideration
in the organization of Revolutions and government overthrows in the present 21st
century. A revolution is a revolution, whatever name you may decide to give it.
It means the same as the word itself; therefore irrespective of the kind of
name given to a particular revolution, they all mean the same thing. This is
because they possess somewhat similar characteristics and are influenced by
similar factors and their procedures and outcomes often look similar ranging
from change in culture, economic and political systems. Most times, it is even
very difficult to distinguish the various kinds of revolution. Every revolution
is out to bring a significant change. Something new and different from the
former.
Various kinds
of revolutions have been seen to exist in the world since its creation ranging
from religious revolutions, socio-cultural revolutions, economic revolutions
and most importantly political revolutions. Whatever the case, they all seek a
common denominator; change. It may be either a change in the way of doing
particular things, a change in the way of thought of a people, a change in the
societal set up of a particular people; injustice, slavery, racism, tribalism ethnicity,
etc., a change in the economic policies of nation and a change in the political
status quo of a particular country. In all these areas, a revolution is
required to yield the desired outcomes.
For a
revolution to successful is one thing, for the success to be sustained is
another. Therefore what matters most is not that a revolution has been carried
out and won with great achievements, but rather how far the revolution successes
will last to become the new social order of that nation or society. For a
revolution to be successful and sustainable, standing the test of time, it must
be started, fought, and won by the people of that nation and not external
forces.
Revolutions
are very risky ventures. It takes the spiritually gifted to stand the test of
time and ensure that the revolution sustains and yield the desired results.
SETTING UP A POLITICAL REVOLUTION:
Things you must bear in mind.
In political
revolutions, it requires a whole lot of guts, considerations and efforts to get
people to rise up against a government in authority. This is what you must
first bear in mind. These are risky areas because the government authority has
all the machinery and even controls the weaponry used by the revolutionists. It
can decide to block them from getting any access to any of the weapons and get
them to their knees.
-Revolutions take
time. You must be patient enough, plan well, and gather all the information you
need. Do your planning and evaluation. Consider your financial power and study
the political terrain and the minds of the citizens properly. You need great
vision and proper organization. Sometimes your vision and how you perceive the
revolt to be, will change. Sometimes the political system will change and new
laws come in place that scare many citizens to join you to revolt, such as
death penalty laws to anyone who is caught in a revolt. In such a circumstance,
you must take a break and readjust your tactics. You must not hurry, because if
you do hurry, you might be putting the success of the revolt in a great doubt.
- Dictators
do not leave power easily. This is what you must understand. However with such knowledge,
it will help you to plan your revolution very well to avoid making mistakes
when you launch.
-Succeeding
in a revolution struggle might be turned into a whole failure. You must know
what it implies to mean a successful and a failed revolt. This will depend on
your particular goal(s) of the revolt.
Generally, when you succeed in your objectives, it is presumed that your
revolution was successful. If in a political revolution, your main goal is to
remove someone from power and you do just that, then your revolution was a
success. But if you had more than just one goal like removing the person from
power and gaining control or seceding from a present political status quo, then
you must ensure that after removing the person from power, you must fully claim
legitimacy by setting up a new government and structures that will replace the
old ones. In the case of seceding, you must ensure that you already had a duly
constituted government somewhere maybe in exile which will emerge and establish
its supremacy and legitimacy at once after the revolution ends. Such a
government must bring virtually new things and a new societal order to the
nation if not it will be a complete failure as the people will equally have
reasons to rise up against it.
-More so, when
a revolution is fueled by a starving or unsatisfied lower class that is angry
at the wealthy elites, it tends to be more easily corrupted by the government that
controls the wealth of the lower masses. Their leaders will be easily bought
away so cheaply and once they have been bought over, it gives the government an
easily passage to kill down the revolution. Given that peasant classes are
often less educated, they can be more easily coerced by rhetoric into doing
things that will benefit them in the short term, but will have bad long term
consequences. To rise against a particular regime therefore, the revolutionists
must have the financial man power that will withstand them and their fighters
throughout the estimated period of the revolution. Finance is a primordial
factor to any successful revolution.
-Generally,
everyone fears to dare take the lead and would prefer to follow the movement
instead. Most people fear to step out their doors and "step up" the
fight. In such situations, you must be ready to stand as one man army if all
others fail you. Are you ready or not?
HOW TO START A REVOLUTION.
1. Set
your objectives and know your goal.
In political
revolutions, one of your major goals is to unseat a seating regime, overthrow a
president and take control, secede from a present political system and form a
new country and your main goal is to see one or all of that being achieved. As a matter of duty therefore, you must be
able to set out your main objectives for venturing into such a battle. If you
do not set out your objectives, then you will never expect to see any fruitful
goals from the revolution at the end of it. This is the backbone of your
revolution. Your vision and conviction must merge into a concrete plan called
objectives.
2. SOLICIT
FOR SUPPORT AND TRUST:
You must make
sure that you campaign massively for support both physically, materially,
financially and spiritually. You must remember that even though you might be
one man army, you will not succeed in the revolt alone or with just a few numbers.
Technology has even made it very easy for you in the 21st century.
You can use the internet, twitter, Facebook, to sell out your message to a
wider public. On a one to one basis, you can share message flyers and use
megaphones and the radio, TV and other media sources to sell your vision which
will yield you enough support when you finally decide to start the war. This
takes time so as a matter of policy, you must make sure you start it long
before the time you wish to launch your first attack.
3. EDUCATION
AND TRAINING:
At the time
of sending out your message you will obviously start getting contacts and
feedbacks. Evaluate such feedbacks and see who shares your vision just like
you. Pull such people closer to yourself and start educating yourselves on
every aspects of the revolution. Here you must x-ray your first objectives and
draw a big picture of how the revolution will be executed. Consult revolutionary
books and articles, and follow the success stories of other revolutions how
they were planned, what were their main objectives and how they managed to
succeed at the end. Look at their limitations and try to improve those
weaknesses in your objective plan.
4. SET
FORTH THE POSITIVE VECTOR:
For any
revolution to gain admiration, the people who will eventually want to join the
revolution must see some things that are new and far better than what the
current regime could provide for them. Identify these things and make them sound
as your top agenda for the revolution. It must be popular among the people and
will definitely attract much attention and support.
5. SET
UP THE MOVING TEAM:
You must get
more people involved at this stage. Get like-minded people whose heads are very
hot and always ready for action. You must work in a non-hierarchical group
where all voices are heard and all opinions considered as important as
necessary to the fight. Try to be simple as possible and never assume to be
very bossy. You may elect to seek external support and back-up but make sure
they do not overtake you in the process.
6. GET
THE CURRENT MILITARY ON YOUR SIDE.
Your revolt
will witness a quick success when you have insiders in the current political
circle. You must try to win the confidence and trust of top ranking officers of
the military who command great respect and authority within the Military and
political system of your nation. The fastest revolution victory occurs where
top military generals gang up and walk up straight to the president’s office
and tell him Mr. President it’s all over. But the problem with this kind of
alliance is that the power directly leaves the president to the Military and not to you the
revolutionist which will instead become worse because the military will
implement its own agenda and not yours.
7. TAKE
ACTION:
This is as
important as your life. So you must watch out for the progress of the fight
minute by minute. This is the most important step because the revolution dies
without it. Action is necessary irrespective of the type of revolt; nonviolent,
or violent. In either ways you are required to act. You must all collectively
match forward to fight with all you’ve got. Be prepared for counter attacks
from the regime in place. It might be worse if it is an authoritarian or
military regime. You must bear in mind as you match forward that external
powers might be backing the regime in place and they both have the capacity to
crush you. This is where your back-up force is highly recommended. You must all
stand as one. You all are fighting to be free and not one man, so the freedom
for all is the freedom for one and the freedom for one is the freedom of all.
You must use the media at your disposal to spread wide your voices to the world
and make the world know you are in control and will not back down. At the end,
you will realize your goal. You must all be committed to the top; compromise at
the battle ground is extremely dangerous.
HOW
TO CONTROL, COORDINATE AND SUCCEED THE REVOLUTION.
Once the
revolution fire has been lighted, the next important aspect is to control and
coordinate the revolution.
1. SET
UP PLANNING AND MONITORING TEAMS:
First and foremost, you must concentrate the
revolution on the people. There is great strength in numbers. This is because
your success result and power comes from them. The greater the mass and unity
of your team, the higher the chances that your demands will be easily met. The
people are as important as the desired goal of the revolution. You must
therefore set up planning and monitoring teams to plan your movements, actions and
to monitor the fighters else, they will be easily influenced and lured by the
oppressor. If your group is being infiltrated by spies and black legs, even the
real fighters don’t be surprised; will be easily tired and defeated. Never succumb
to the lure of money. It will kill your vision.
2. MILITARY
INTELLIGENCE AND CONSTANT SUPPLY LINE:
You must
first and foremost, have access to highly competitive weapons of equal strength
with that of your opponent no matter how skilled one side might be; the weapons
must be up to the weight of that of the opponent. You must have well trained
fighters, and they must be able to use sophisticated weapons that are even more
destructive than that of your oppressor. Without military, your goal will be
far-fetched. Without material availability, you and your fighters will quickly
run out of demand and will be outsmarted and crushed. You must therefore ensure
that you have enough military power at your disposal. Equally and most importantly,
you must ensure the availability of food, water, shelter and all kinds of
dietary substitutes and energizers to sustain your fighters. Your source of
supply must not be known to the oppressor if not it will be blocked at once. If
you ensure this aspect within the revolution, you are sure of winning the
fight.
3. MAINTAIN
TRUST AND SECURE COMMUNICATION LINKS.
Trust is very
essential in all aspects of life. As such you must trust your teammates. They
are your force and legacy. Believe in the ideas of others. You are not an
island. You should trust them and be able to delegate power to other members if
necessary. Give them tasks to do, never hold on to everything. Learn to share.
The revolution is for all and not for you alone. So do not use it selfishly for
your own gains and to make yourself popular.
This aspect
is very important because your revolt can be hijacked if your communication
links are cut off. You must ensure that as your top priority throughout the
revolt. In the current 21st century, technology has made
communications very easy. Technological advancements through Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, etc., can help you get your message and activities easily passed
through to the oppressor. It sells your ideologies and activities to the
broader world. It calls for international attention to your struggle. Nevertheless,
in as much as it is very important to you, it is as well very important to your
opponent, because he can easily hijack the major source of your information and
even your area of operations and your next plans with simple devices. If he
succeeds then, your fate in the revolt is hanging.
4. FAITH,
COURAGE AND DETERMINATION:
To rebel against
a seating government is a deadly mission. It could be a matter of your life for
that of the state, so you must thread with much caution. Always listen to
yourself and never lose focus. Always concentrate on your vision and goal, on
the big picture. You must have faith, courage and determination and you must
intend transfer that faith and determination to your fighters through your
skills and inspiration. You all must be ready to stand the test of time and be
willing to sacrifice everything even your lives just to succeed in the mission.
You must show them this through your stewardship to them as their Revolution
Leader and forbearer. You must bear in mind that, even if you have the said
courage, and determination in all your team, you may not still succeed. You may
still be squashed by the same government, because it has more than what you
might have gathered as measures to unseat it. You must therefore have the
required faith.
5. ASSUMPTION
OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Every fighter within the group must feel his
presence to be in high demand. There should be a very limited role play of
Bosses and Commanders who only give orders for executions. Every group head
must be very simple as the least fighter. The leaders must lead the fight and
must be present in all battles. He must eat together with them; he must play
together with them and must present every new information he gets to his
teammates. He may not conceal every information from his group. This will boost
the morale of the young fighters and they will feel at home to fight with all
they’ve got to secure their home.
6. PLOT
MAJOR TARGETS and STRIKES:
No revolution
will actually succeed without major battle victories. Minor victories will not
cause the oppressor to be threatened. He might consider it a normal social disorder
and strikes and will ignore the demands of the revolutionists. Therefore, in order
to shaken the oppressor, the fighters must ensure they take major and bold
risks and carryout extra-ordinary demonstrations like bombings of the oppressor’s
areas of interests, major transport ways like bridges, capturing and kidnap of some
key citizens, a destruction of the nation’s important infrastructures that are
keened to the regime. On this particular aspects, most oppressors will be
forced by conscience to surrender or if not, by the international community to
come to a compromise with the revolutionists. These are however extreme
measures to be considered and will depend on the kind of regime in place. Long
standing dictatorships will often experience such destructions. It is however
worth considering on the part of the revolutionists that, they should bear in
mind that the areas they are bombing would not be of importance to them in
their new society when they take over power. But if such areas are rather very
important in their future society, then they must be very watchful and very tactical
when they decide to carryout destruction in that domain. If they destroy
everything, then they might have even destroyed their future without knowing. These
are some of the reasons why a revolution is successful but the victory does not
last because the fighters destroyed the entire economy just to let their
message pass. This is a typical image of Libya which will take a very long time
for its economy to come back to normal as it was before during the regime of Muhammad
Gadhafi. In the case of Libya, the revolutionists, did not just destroy the
oppressor, the massively destroyed their own economy to a point of standstill.
7. CLAIM
EXCLUSIVE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR VICTORY:
To be able to
succeed a political revolution, the people must be able to claim ownership of
the struggle. It is true external supports do matter in every revolution.
France, for example helped the American Revolution of its success. The NATO
massively supported the Libyans to take out their President Col Muhammad Gadhafi,
but the Libyans forcefully projected themselves out as the actual people who
took Gaddafi out. They did not give the NATO a chance to claim such a victory the
same way George Washington took out the lead to pronounce the American Victory
in the 1776 American war of Independence. They claimed ownership of the
revolution. This claim of ownership definitely sustains the success of the
revolution not only in the short run, but in the long run.
8. CONSERVE
YOUR VICTORY
What do you
do when the revolution turns out to be successful? This is where most
revolutions fail after succeeding at first stage. Therefore, everyone has to be
willing to compromise. The revolutionists must be ready to give and take. They
must not take it all. They must have already set up a government in the background
and structure, the new social order, new constitutional reforms, new currency change
if necessary, and new institutions as well as diplomatic relations with the
rest of the world. The government must proclaim itself and legalize its
structure and the other changes before the people as soon as the victory is
achieved. This will ensure that there is no power vacuum. If there exists any
power vacuum, it will necessitate the development of rebel groups who will want
to take over the lead of the new society. Such groups may cause even more
disorder and the country may never normalize and enjoy peace if care is not
taken. Therefore, all the revolutionist leaders must be willing to drop their
military command and weapons, no more warlords and militias should exist. This
is where they must be seen to exercise the highest degree of compromise and
give and takes. Failure to take all of these into consideration will only
produce a still birth society. I cannot actually refer to the Arab Spring
revolution as a success because none of them has put in place any of the above
principles. Yes it is true it succeeded in removing all the presidents and
political system, but the revolutions have replaced the political system of the
Arab world with virtually nothing that merits legitimacy. It is therefore a
failed venture and not a successful one, in the strictest sense of the word.
Conclusion:
History has proven time and again that
the main leader of the revolution is the main target. Once you are targeted and
caught the others will be scared to continue the revolt. You must bear in mind
that once you have been captured, you may be killed, tortured imprisoned etc.
But that does not make you a failure. Nothing on earth will give you more joy than
when you see your vision come to reality. So despite the torments, torture and
hardship, you must be strong and positive with the belief that you stood for
justice for all men and not yourself alone. When you die, you die a happy and
proud man. But until you have been caught and killed, bear in mind that being a
forbearer of the revolution does not make you the king of the revolution.
Always try to seek advice from all your teammates. The revolution is not all
about you but for a collective goal.
